Notice of Budget Committee Meeting
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District, Lane County, State of Oregon, on the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, will be held at the UWSWCD office, located at 3291 W 1st Ave, Eugene, OR. The meeting will take place on April 21, 2025, at 5:30 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. An additional, separate meeting of the Budget Committee will be held to take public comment. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. The meeting for public comment will be on April 28, 2025, at 5:30 pm at the UWSWCD office.
The meetings will also be available for attending via Zoom. The information to join is available on the District website at: www.uwswcd.org/about/meetings/.
A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after March 31, 2025 at 3291 W 1st Ave, Eugene, OR, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. The budget document will also be available online at www.uwswcd.org.
Citizen Budget Committee Members
This committee serves as the District’s fiscal planning advisory committee for the proposed Annual Budget. Every year UWSWCD looks to add members from our community. While the application is open and collected year round, the applications are reviewed and selected at the February board meeting each year.
Membership: The committee shall consist of the Board of Directors of the District, plus up to 7 registered voters who reside within the District’s boundaries.
Time Commitment: 6-8 hours scheduled in April; some other meetings are possible.
Budget Comm Mtg 1: April 21, 2025 at 5:30 pm
Budget Comm Mtg 2: April 28, 2025 at 5:30 pm
Meeting Times: Two (2) meetings in April as the District budget is prepared. Scheduled meetings shall be held virtually and in person in 2025.
Qualifications: Must be a registered voter in Lane County and reside within the Upper Willamette Soil and Water Conservation District boundaries.
Term Length: 3 years.
