FARMERS AND RURAL LANDOWNERS

The Upper Willamette SWCD works with farmers and rural residents to protect and conserve our soil and water resources while supporting healthy rural communities.

We cooperate with a number of partners to provide educational opportunities, free on-site consultations, and access to financial support for projects that protect water quality, build soil resources, and maintain healthy wildlife habitat.

We offer:

Soil Sampling

Learn which elements may be missing from your soil and how to make improvements.

On-Site Consultations

Schedule a consultation with one of our field staff to discuss your farm conservation goals and concerns.

Land Steward Grants

Learn more about grant funding for projects that promote on-farm conservation.

The Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District is a proud Working Lands partner. The Working Lands Program supports farmers in their role as land stewards by helping them to adopt stewardship practices that keep their working lands working: working as farms, working as businesses, and working as natural ecosystems.

Working Lands is a free, voluntary program that helps farmers and ranchers transition to more regenerative agricultural management. We collaborate with participating farm managers to create a personalize conservation plan suited to your land, your farm, and your business needs.
