CONSERVATION IMPACT GRANTS
Our Conservation Impact Grants program awards grants to support projects or programs that create public conservation benefits and align with one or more of the District’s strategic priorities.
The Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District is offering grants of between $10,000 and $70,000 to support projects or programs that create public conservation benefits and align with one or more of the following District strategic priorities:
- Farms, Food & Soil
- Forest Health & Resilience
- Neighborhood Sustainability
- Watershed Restoration & Conservation
Specific funding priorities and project examples are listed in the grant program guidelines. More information about District goals can be found in our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. Funding will be provided in two categories: Capacity Grants (including project development, collaboration, technical assistance), and Implementation Grants (for on-the-ground projects). Applicants will be asked to identify which of these categories best fits their proposal during the application process:
- Protect & enhance water quality
- Improve water conservation
- Promote soil health & nutrient management
- Improve fish & wildlife habitat
Proposals are due via our online grant portal by Wednesday, February 19th at 11:59 PM. Eligible applicants for this funding opportunity are: Non-profit organizations, Native American Tribes, and community organizations working with a qualified fiscal sponsor.
Proposed projects must:
- Advance the mission of the Upper Willamette SWCD and align with one or more of our strategic priorities.
- Be located within the District geographic boundaries.
- Provide a clear public benefit.
- Be completed within 24 months of the grant agreement being signed.
